STRATEGIC PLAN

The Luray-Page Chamber of Commerce serves as a community catalyst, providing a foundation for a dynamic and inclusive business community where innovation thrives, connections flourish, and opportunities are endless.

To forward this mission, the Chamber upholds its core values of Connection, Collaboration, Commitment, Opportunity, and Integrity as it embarks on a three-year strategic plan with focus on four strategic pillars.

  • The Chamber strives to provide increasing meaning and value to its membership in an evolving local business landscape.

Goal 1 – The Board will evaluate current membership value through intentional engagement of both new and legacy members and will provide a transparent summation of value for membership in highly visible venues.

Goal 2 – The Board will examine its current dues structure to ensure appropriate membership models are available for organizations of all sizes and types.

Goal 3 - The Board will study a model of tiered sponsorship to improve the participation experience of corporate sponsors.

Goal 4 – The Board will inventory all current programs to ensure they are fulfilling the Chamber mission of commitment to the community and will adjust programming as needed to maintain that pledge to excellence in service.

  • The Chamber will share its own story of success, and that of its members, to honor and celebrate 100 years of service in the community.

Goal 1 – The Chamber will continue its 2024 rebranding rollout to include a revamped website, membership promotional items, and a further targeted social media campaign.

Goal 2 – The Chamber will strategically emphasize and celebrate its legacy of 100 years of service to the Luray-Page community, and that of its members.

Goal 3 – The Chamber will provide ongoing “town hall” opportunities for members to learn about the Chamber board, the Chamber staff, and Chamber initiatives.

Goal 4 – The Chamber will reinitiate long-term member relations to ensure the core values of connection and collaboration are being honored for all members as the community evolves.

Goal 5 – The Chamber will create a Member Spotlight series (digital or in print) to highlight member achievements, milestones, and community contributions.

  • The Chamber will serve as a convener and informer in the community.

Goal 1 – The Chamber will continue to educate its board and community members about community events and information that impact its members.

Goal 2 – The Chamber will regularly share public information about local meetings of government bodies and member organizations.

Goal 3 – The Chamber will strategically maximize opportunities for partner relations in the community.

Goal 4 – The Chamber will evaluate and refine local public service events (such as elected official meetings, job fairs) to best serve our constituency and support community awareness of local affairs.

Goal 5 – The Chamber will strive to better educate Chamber members about regional economic trends and data.

Goal 6 – The Chamber will facilitate regular Business Roundtables or Industry  Councils (e.g., Tourism, Retail, Agriculture, Manufacturing) to better represent diverse voices.

  • The Chamber will prioritize its future by evaluating and promoting organizational sustainability efforts.

Goal 1 – The Board will evaluate emerging opportunities and challenges to operations in monthly board meetings and assign task forces or champions for each strategic priority.

Goal 2 – The Board will revive its Membership Committee and commit to a strategic membership drive that will yield a 10% increase in Chamber members over the three-year strategic plan period.

Goal 3 – The Board will conduct a feasibility study and potential implementation of a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation to support diversification of funding through non-dues revenue such as grants and donations.

Goal 4 – The Board will implement appropriate tiered sponsorship and dues structure as indicated by the Value for Membership studies.
